  • LUMS NOP Outreach Expands Across Swat Valley

    The LUMS National Outreach Programme recently extended its reach to the Swat Valley, conducting awareness sessions in six cities and engaging with 1,040 students from 13 colleges. This initiative focused on introducing students to the LUMS NOP Summer Coaching Session 2025, guiding them on available programs, and encouraging applications from talented individuals across the region.

    The outreach included visits to prominent institutions such as Edward College (Boys and Girls) and Islamia Model College in Timmergara, Govt. PG Jahanzeb College Swat, Cadet College Swat, and Dr. Khan Shaheed Govt. Degree College Kabal. Other notable institutions included Tipu Shaheed School and College in Kabal, The Peace College and Government Girls Degree College in Kanju, and Dawn School and College in Mingora. The sessions provided students with critical insights into LUMS’ academic programs and the admissions process while fostering a connection between the university and the region's educational institutions.

    For the first time, the NOP team visited the areas of Kabal and Kanju, where significant interest was shown by principals and administrators. These institutions were eager to collaborate further and encourage their students to pursue opportunities at LUMS. A highlight of the outreach was the return to Cadet College Swat after several years. The administration responded positively, and the cadets displayed strong eligibility for the NOP, showcasing the potential for military-oriented institutions to contribute to the diversity of LUMS’ student body.

    The sessions also emphasized career guidance, particularly for pre-medical students. Participants were introduced to fields in SBASSE and other dynamic majors offered at LUMS. Students from FA backgrounds were encouraged to explore the MGSHSS programs, aligning their interests with the pathways available at the university. These interactions not only provided practical advice on academic opportunities but also inspired students to consider the possibilities of higher education at LUMS.

    The outreach efforts in Swat Valley also helped establish new partnerships with local educational stakeholders. Principals and administrators expressed enthusiasm for future collaboration with LUMS, laying the foundation for sustained engagement in the region. This interest underscores the commitment of Swat Valley's educational leaders to support their students in achieving academic excellence.

    By connecting with over 1,000 students and engaging a diverse range of institutions, the LUMS NOP team has significantly broadened its impact in the Swat Valley. These efforts highlight LUMS’ dedication to creating opportunities for students in underserved areas and building pathways to higher education. With the encouraging response from the region, the NOP team looks forward to further strengthening relationships in Swat and continuing to empower the next generation of leaders.

  • LUMS NOP Awareness Sessions: Islamabad Chapter

    NOP Team conducted a series of impactful NOP Awareness sessions across 15 colleges in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, reaching a total of 1,580 students. This initiative was organized in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan under the Education Info Fair 2025. Our goal was to provide crucial guidance and opportunities to students from various educational backgrounds, helping them make informed decisions about their future. 

    The institutions visited included Scienta Vision School & College (Boys and Girls G-10/2 and G-10/4), IMCB F-10/3, Imperial College Islamabad, IMCG (PG) F-6/2, Fazaia Intermediate College, IMCB Pakistan Town, Ali Trust Cadet College, Dr. AQ Khan College, Concordia College Islamabad, College of Home Economics F-11/1, and IMCG G-10/4. Each of these institutions warmly welcomed our team, allowing us to engage with diverse groups of students.

    During these sessions, students from FA backgrounds were encouraged to apply for the MGSHSS program at LUMS, expanding their academic horizons. Pre-medical students received comprehensive guidance on fields like pure sciences in SBASSE and other diverse majors that LUMS offers. Special training sessions were held for teachers and counselors to guide them on the SCS application 2025, ensuring a smoother application process for students. The sessions also featured motivational stories from LUMS alumni, inspiring students to pursue their academic and career goals. NOP SCS 2024 participants were invited to share their experiences with the new candidates, creating a sense of mentorship and community as they prepared for the 2025 application cycle. This outreach underscores LUMS’ ongoing commitment to providing educational access and supporting the next generation of scholars and leaders through the National Outreach Programme (NOP).

  • Charting New Paths: Rahim Yar Khan's Experience with LUMS NOP

    In the bustling city of Rahim Yar Khan, the LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) team embarked on a journey of empowerment and enlightenment. Engaging with students, educators, and institutions, we set out to unlock doors of opportunity and ignite sparks of ambition.

     

     

    Our team visited colleges and schools across the city, spreading awareness about the transformative educational opportunities offered by LUMS. With a focus on fostering academic exploration and personal growth, we shared insights into the social sciences and humanities programmes available at LUMS' Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS).

     

     

    We led pre-medical students towards considering alternative career paths beyond conventional medical routes, urging them to venture into new territories. Furthermore, we conducted specialized training sessions for educators on completing the SCS application for 2024, arming them with the necessary tools and insights to assist students adeptly during the application phase.

     

     

    Meetings with principals provided an opportunity to address general issues faced by students throughout the NOP scholarship process, fostering open dialogue and collaboration to streamline procedures and enhance the overall experience for aspiring scholars.

     

     

    In total, our outreach efforts reached 1150 students across 14 colleges in four cities. 

    Throughout our experience in Rahim Yar Khan, collaboration, empowerment, and a collective dedication to educational advancement defined our path. We deeply appreciate the warm welcome extended to us by the institutions, stakeholders, and students alike. Upon contemplation of the impactful endeavors and significant relationships formed during our outreach endeavor, we are struck by the profound influence of education. Collectively, we are dismantling barriers and unlocking avenues of opportunity for deserving students nationwide.

    Building Bridges: LUMS NOP's Impactful Visit to Sukkur

    The echoes of inspiration still resonate as we look back on our recent journey through Sukkur and its neighboring regions. The LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) team embarked on a mission of empowerment, engaging with students and institutions to illuminate pathways to success.

     

     

    In Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Daharki, we witnessed the potential of young minds and the dedication of educational institutions. At Sukkur Boys and Girls Colleges, both 1st and 2nd-year students were guided on opportunities through the LUMS regular admission cycle in November 2024.

     

     

     

    Our visit to Ghazali College in Ghotki was particularly enlightening, as we were given a tour of the campus and learned about their future initiatives to expand educational opportunities. A new academic building equipped with essential facilities promises a brighter future for students.

     

     

    At Cadet College Ghotki, the Vice Principal's proactive approach to appointing a dedicated teacher for NOP applications showcased their commitment to student success. A WhatsApp group exclusively for NOP applications was created, fostering a supportive environment for students.

     

     

    Similarly, Govt College Khairpur's proactive stance in creating student accounts before our visit exemplified their dedication to facilitating the application process. The interactive session allowed students to address queries, ensuring a seamless application experience.

     

     

    Our journey in Sukkur was marked by collaboration, empowerment, and a shared commitment to educational excellence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the institutions, stakeholders, and students who welcomed us with open arms. Your enthusiasm and dedication inspire us to continue our mission of empowering the next generation of leaders.

     

     

     

    As we reflect on the impactful initiatives and meaningful connections made during our outreach visit, we are reminded of the transformative power of education. Together, we are breaking barriers and opening doors of opportunity for deserving students across Pakistan.

  • LUMS NOP Outreach Impacts Communities in Multan, surrounding areas

    Embarking on a journey of educational empowerment, the LUMS NOP Outreach Team recently visited several cities, including Multan, Khanewal, Jahanian, and Shujabad, connecting with students and educators across various campuses.

    In Multan, we engaged with students from Muslim College Boys Campus, Muslim College Girls Campus, Muslim College Rasheed Campus, KIPS College Multan, City College Multan, Admire College Multan, and Star College Multan. Similarly, in Khanewal, our team interacted with students from KIPS College, Hawks College, Ripha International College, and Govt. Higher Secondary School Khanewal. We also visited Punjab College for Boys and Girls in Jahanian, as well as KIPS College and Professors College in Shujabad.

    During our engagements, which collectively involved over 1,140 students, we provided valuable insights into the social sciences and humanities programs offered at MGSHSS at LUMS. We encouraged pre-medical students to consider diverse fields for their academic and professional growth, broadening their horizons beyond traditional paths.

    Moreover, we conducted comprehensive training sessions for teachers and student counsellors, equipping them with the necessary tools to assist students in navigating the SCS application process effectively. These sessions aimed to streamline the application process and ensure that deserving candidates receive the support they need to pursue higher education.

    In addition to our interactions with students and educators, we met with stakeholders to discuss and resolve the general issues students face throughout the NOP Scholarship process. These discussions were instrumental in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring a smoother experience for future applicants.

    As we continue our endeavor of empowering talented youth across Pakistan, our steadfast dedication to nurturing partnerships and fostering avenues for academic and personal development remains resolute. Together, we are forging a path towards a brighter future for the upcoming generations.

  • From Lyari to Karimabad: LUMS NOP's Journey of Educational Empowerment

    Embarking on a mission to foster educational empowerment, the LUMS NOP Outreach Team journeyed to Karachi, with a special focus on the vibrant tapestry of Karachi's diverse population.

     

     

    In a series of impactful engagements, the team forged collaborations with esteemed organizations such as Hindu Seva - Jagrutri, The Citizen Foundation (TCF) and Khadija Welfare Trust College and Orphanage Korangi, expanding our reach to needy communities.

     

     

    Venturing into the heart of Liyari, the team joined hands with the Kiran Foundation, extending our support to uplift marginalized youth. At Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Karimabad, we connected with students from both morning and afternoon shifts, paving the way for future collaborations. Thanks to the support of the school principal, we also ventured into AKHSS Kharadar for the first time, opening new avenues of opportunity. Witnessing the enthusiasm of students from the Hindu community in our collaboration with Jagrutri was truly inspiring. Moreover, the warm reception from the Founder of Jaffria Disaster Cell JDC, along with his endorsement on social media, further amplified our message, reaching over 250,000 viewers in Karachi and beyond. As we continue our journey, NOP envisions broadening our spectrum, forging meaningful partnerships with schools, colleges, and welfare organizations across Karachi, empowering lives and shaping futures.

  • LUMS NOP Visits DG Khan

    The LUMS NOP Team embarked on a transformative journey to South Punjab, leaving a trail of inspiration and hope. In both the Fazilpur and DG Khan campuses of Daanish Schools, teachers and principals eagerly participated in the session alongside students, demonstrating their commitment to nurturing bright minds.

     

     

    Post-session, principals motivated students to seize the scholarship opportunity at LUMS, emphasizing its unparalleled quality of education. With a focus on inclusivity, priority was given to financially challenged students from government colleges, engaging with over 750 students collectively.

     

     

    Principals pledged support by granting access to Computer Labs and Libraries for application preparation. Furthermore, dedicated English and Math teachers were appointed to guide students in clearing the LUMS LCAT test, ensuring equal opportunities for all. The impact of this outreach resonates deeply, heralding a brighter future for aspiring scholars in South Punjab.

  • LUMS NOP's Impactful Journey Across Peshawar and Beyond

     

     

    The LUMS NOP Team recently visited Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, and Kohat, engaging with multiple educational institutions. In collaboration with the Federal Government Educational Institutions Directorate, the team visited four FG colleges in Peshawar and Mardan. Notably, in Islamia College Peshawar, a session drew an impressive attendance of over 300 students, with senior members addressing the students in Pashto to make the session more convenient and interesting. Additionally, in Government Colleges of Charsadda, Principals appointed college individuals for training on how to fill out SCS applications. A session in the 100-year-old Islamia College Peshawar witnessed the participation of over 300 students and was attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, Director Admissions, and Director Sports. The impact of the team's interactions in these regions resonates far beyond numbers, leaving a lasting impression on students and educators alike.

  • Pathways to Possibilities: LUMS NOP Team Transforms Lives in Mianwali, Harnoli, DIK, and Khushab

    The recent LUMS NOP Team tour across Mianwali, Harnoli, DIK, and Khushab involved impactful engagements with 11 colleges, reaching a total of 830 students. Some of the colleges which were visited include, Punjab College and the Government Boys Degree College in Minawali, Daanish Schools in Harnoli, Wensam College and Government College Sciences in Dera Ismail Khan.  Additionally, Paharpur's Girls Degree College and Zubair Science College, along with Punjab Colleges in Khushab, collectively contributed to the team's interactions.

    The team provided training to placement teachers in all boarding colleges on the SCS application filling, encouraged exploration of diverse fields, and offered valuable tips for the admission process. The NOP reps also assured that they would share LCAT entry test preparation materials with colleges so that the student body to make use of the provided resources. Students from previous SCS 2023 also joined the sessions at Daanish School, DIK, and asked questions about the admission process and further steps. These students were briefed on the process further to improve their chances of becoming part of LUMS.

    The visit aimed to foster awareness about NOP, inspire higher education pursuit, and position LUMS as an accessible educational opportunity, contributing to the broader mission of educational empowerment.

  • LUMS NOP's Journey Inspires 825 Students in Hasilpur

    The LUMS NOP Outreach Team recently concluded their visit to Hasilpur and surrounding cities, engaging with a total of 5 cities, 12 colleges, and inspiring 825 students. The team conducted NOP Awareness Session in a government school adopted by TEF - Tareen Education Foundation in Lodhran, fostering awareness and inspiration among young minds.

    Additionally, visits to Punjab Daanish Schools in Chishtian, Hasilpur, and Tibba Sultanpur included NOP Awareness sessions for boarding students, opening doors to educational possibilities at LUMS through NOP. The team also guided Pre-Medical students to explore diverse fields available at LUMS, encouraging them to aspire beyond traditional career paths.

    Empowering educators, the team provided teachers and student counsellors with a detailed guideline on How to fill out SCS application 2024, vesting in them to guide students effectively. In every interaction, the team witnessed the spark of curiosity, the flame of ambition, and the spirit of collaboration. The impact made in Hasilpur and its connected cities resonates far beyond numbers, echoing in the hearts and minds of students and educators alike. Here's to the transformative power of education and the limitless potential it unlocks!
