Shaping Tomorrow: NOP's Visionary Outreach in Abbottabad

LUMS

NOP Outreach Team had an enriching experience of a recent visit to Abbottabad as part of the annual outreach. The vibrant energy, enthusiasm, and genuine passion exhibited by both students and faculty members left an indelible mark.

Our visit served a dual purpose—to kindle curiosity and exploration among the students and guide them toward the expansive realm of higher education possibilities at LUMS. Through engaging discussions, our aim was to empower students to dream big and aspire for academic excellence. The dedication of School/College administrations to nurturing the intellectual growth of students was commendable. We firmly believe that the collaborative efforts between the faculty and NOP have the potential to bring about a transformative impact on the educational landscape.

We are proud of the prospect of nurturing and expanding our partnerships with institutions to provide unwavering support to students in their pursuit of higher education and success.
During our visit, several interactions took place:

  1. Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi:
Engaged in a session with cadets who expressed a keen interest in exploring opportunities beyond the armed forces.

  2. Girls from KPK in Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur:
Showed remarkable interest in LUMS programmes. The principal and teachers actively briefed the girls, encouraging them to pursue higher education at institutions like LUMS.

  3. Haripur Govt Girls College:
The principal expressed interest in a long-term relationship with the LUMS NOP team to help students prepare for the LCAT test. LCAT preparation books were shared with the school to be placed in the library for student preparation before joining NOP SCS 2024.

  4. Colleges with Unarranged Sessions:
Due to time constraints, meetings were held with principals and coordinators. Collateral and contact details regarding NOP scholarships were shared, paving the way for future online sessions after winter vacations.

A total of more than 500+ students attended NOP’s session in different schools and colleges including Tameer-e- Wattan Boys and Girls school, Government Post graduate college, Government College Boys and Girls, The PEACE Group of Schools & Colleges Boys, Cadet College Batrasi and Iqra Public School & Degree College. These interactions underscore the significance of collaborative efforts in shaping a brighter future for students. We look forward to furthering these meaningful connections and fostering educational excellence.
