The NOP Centre and Office of Academic Advising, under Student Success Initiative, organized a De Stress week from March 8th to 10th, 2023. The aim of this event was to provide students, faculty, and administrative staff with different activities to relieve their stress and promote well-being.

A variety of activities were offered, including painting, therapeutic art, boxing, ludo, music and open mic, stress balls, Rubik's cube, jump ropes, archery, dartboards, hoola hoops, and planting. Among these, Ludo, boxing, painting, and video games were the most popular. The event attracted a turnout of more than 600 attendees, who participated in different activities of their choice.

The attendees showed a keen interest in painting. Considering the interest of the attendees, the organizing team selected top 5 paintings from the participants, which were awarded a prize. The competition was judged based on creativity, originality, and overall aesthetic appeal. The winning paintings were displayed at the event, and the winners were congratulated for their impressive artistic skills.

The event closed on a high note with a music night featuring two of LUMS Alumni NOP Scholars. The music night was a perfect opportunity for attendees to relax and unwind, as they listened to the soothing melodies. A lucky draw was also held for the attendees. The winners were announced and handed over their prizes. This added an element of excitement and anticipation to the event, as attendees eagerly waited to see if they would be one of the lucky winners.

Overall, the De Stress week was a great success, providing attendees with a range of stress-relieving activities. The event offered a much-needed break from the stress and pressures of academic and work life and helped promote well-being among the LUMS community. The positive response from attendees was a testament to the success of the event, and the organizers should be commended for their efforts in promoting mental health and wellness.
