LUMS NOP Team's Impactful Visit to Gilgit and Surrounding Areas

The recent visit of the LUMS NOP Team to Gilgit and its neighboring areas was marked by impactful engagements with various educational institutions. The team conducted sessions in renowned schools such as Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Public School & College, and FG Girls Degree College, reaching a total of 725 students.

These sessions aimed at fostering awareness about the Programme and inspiring students to pursue higher education. Notably, the collaborative efforts with Aga Khan Higher Secondary School in Sherquilla, Gahkuch, and Sost demonstrated a commitment to inclusivity.

The team's visit resonated far and beyond, imprinting a lasting influence on the educational terrain of Gilgit and its surrounding regions. Noteworthy aspects of the visit encompassed the impactful presence of SCS 2023 participants in numerous GB colleges, motivating younger students to apply for NOP SCS. The afternoon sessions at Aga Khan College for girls emphasized inclusivity, while discussions with Principals focused on identifying initiatives in remote areas. Notably, the outreach extended to Sost for the first time, and there was expressed interest from Aga Khan College Principals in LUMS' teacher training programs to enrich the learning experience for their students.
