LUMS NOP Outreach Expands to Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, and Charsadda
The LUMS National Outreach Programme recently conducted its outreach sessions across four major cities—Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, and Charsadda—reaching 15 colleges and interacting with over 1,200 students. This initiative continues to ensure that talented students from diverse and underserved communities gain access to the opportunities offered by LUMS.
Key institutions visited included Islamia College University (Boys and Girls), Afridi Model School and College Peshawar, The Fazle Haq College Mardan, Cadet College Girls Mardan, Peace College Charsadda, and Frontier College for Women Peshawar, among others. For the first time, the NOP team partnered with Al-Asar Academy Usterzai Payan in Kohat, a collaboration with a dedicated education welfare organization.
The sessions were designed to guide students through the opportunities provided by LUMS, with a specific focus on career counseling for pre-medical students, introduction to pure sciences in SBASSE, and programs such as the MGSHSS at LUMS. Students received step-by-step guidance on preparing for and applying to NOP SCS, and counselors were trained to assist their students in filling out the application forms.
A highlight of the visit was the team’s return to Cadet College Girls Mardan after several years. The administration welcomed the initiative, and the cadets demonstrated strong eligibility and interest in NOP. Across all sessions, the team received positive feedback from institutions visited for the first time, where principals and head teachers expressed a keen interest in encouraging their students to explore LUMS further.
Through this outreach, the LUMS NOP continues to bridge the gap between quality education and talented students from diverse backgrounds. The program remains committed to building meaningful relationships with schools, fostering academic growth, and empowering students to achieve their aspirations.
