LUMS NOP Awareness Sessions: Mianwali

The LUMS National Outreach Programme conducted outreach sessions in 13 colleges across five cities—Quaidabad, Khushab, Harnoli/Piplan, Paharpur, and Dera Ismail Khan—engaging with over 850 students from diverse academic backgrounds. This year, the program expanded its footprint by including the cities of Quaidabad and Paharpur for the first time and adding four new colleges to its outreach efforts. These sessions aimed to inform students about the opportunities available at LUMS, support their preparation for university life, and strengthen their academic foundation.

Students from Olympia Model Schools in Quaidabad, PCC Boys and Girls in Khushab, Daanish Schools in Harnoli/Piplan, Al Abbas College and Iqra Science and College in Paharpur, and Wensam College in Dera Ismail Khan participated in the sessions. The program provided these students with crucial guidance on preparing for the LUMS LCAT and understanding the SCS application process. In addition, counselors from these schools were trained to assist students in filling out applications accurately and effectively, ensuring they are well-prepared to take their first steps toward becoming LUMS students.

A highlight of the outreach sessions was the participation of an SCS 2024 student from Kafirkot, who joined the team in her hometown to share her inspiring journey. Her story resonated with the students and motivated them to consider applying for NOP SCS 2025. Principals from Al Abbas Colleges expressed keen interest in bringing their students to visit the LUMS campus, strengthening the connection between the program and local educational institutions.

The outreach initiative was supported by donors such as Al Moiz Industries and Olympia, whose contributions enabled the team to engage with students from matriculation, first-year, and second-year classes in new regions. These sessions provided students with the resources, information, and encouragement they need to pursue higher education at LUMS, ensuring that talented students from all backgrounds have access to the opportunities they deserve. The LUMS NOP continues to empower communities by fostering academic excellence and broadening access to quality education.
