Inspiring Futures in Sukkur: Connecting Students to LUMS NOP
The National Outreach Programme recently concluded a transformative five-day outreach campaign in Sindh (Sukkur), visiting five cities and engaging with over 1,310 students across 15 institutions. The outreach aimed to inspire young minds, build connections with schools and colleges, and introduce students to the academic opportunities available through the LUMS National Outreach Programme.
The Outreach began in Mirpur Mathelo, where sessions were held at FFC Grammar, Sona Public School, and Govt Degree College. In Ghotki, the team visited Cadet College Ghotki, Ghazali Model Higher Secondary School Boys, and Ghazali Model Higher Secondary School Girls, encouraging students to consider LUMS as their academic destination. The third day brought the team to Khairpur, engaging with students at Khairpur College for Women, Sajjad Model Higher Secondary School, and Govt Boys Degree College Khairpur.
The outreach continued to Sukkur, where visits to Govt Boys College, Sukkur College for Women, and Army Public School Boys and Girls reinforced the message of educational empowerment. The campaign concluded in Daharki, connecting with students at Bright Future Higher Secondary School, Degree College Boys, and Engro School.
During these sessions, students gained insight into the broad spectrum of academic disciplines offered at LUMS and received tailored guidance on applying to various programmes available across all schools at LUMS.
One of the highlights of the visit was exclusive interaction with Hindu students and stakeholders in Hyderabad and surrounding cities. Believing in the ideology of inclusivity and diversity, the students were encouraged to apply for NOP SCS 2025 to make the most of their representation across the campus.
This outreach marked a significant step for NOP, reaching new institutions for the first time, including three schools in Sukkur Base. The visits ignited strong interest from principals and teachers eager to collaborate with LUMS, strengthening partnerships and motivating students to aim higher and aspire to join the LUMS community.
