As another Outreach visit comes to an end, the National Outreach Programme (NOP) team looks back at the productive week spent reaching out to various students in Faisalabad. As part of the Outreach plan, NOP representatives visited Faisalabad and its surrounding cities such as Chiniot, Chenab Nagar, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Nankana Sahib. Within these cities 20 colleges were visited and over 2440 students were presented to. Students were apprised about the various opportunities presented by the National Outreach Programme (NOP) and LUMS.

A major highlight of the visit was reaching out to religious minorities in the area and spreading awareness of the NOP. A visit to the Gurudwara in Nakana Sahib was deeply appreciated by the local MPA Ramesh Singh who commended the efforts of LUMS to reach out to minorities within the region. “We were extremely excited to have LUMS representatives here to inspire our children. We appreciate the LUMS policy of putting merit over a students ability to afford education,” said Ateeq Gillani, manager of the Gurudwara.

The NOP team also made rounds of colleges that have consistently produced Board exam toppers. These toppers were primarily focused on and disseminated information about the NOP to encourage them to apply to the Programme.
